group 1a: 1946-1955 Sports & Racing Cars this group consisted of a weird mix of vehicles, from racing cars under 1000cc to huge 5000+cc hot rods. interestingly enough, the small engine cars lead the way, as they were able to negotiate the course a lot easier than the big bore monsters.
	turn 2 looking toward turn 1 as c-type jags lead a benz and a cooper respectively
	turn 2 just after the start 1951 hudson hornet (5200cc, ivan zaremba)
	a gorgeous 1955 corvette (4343cc, richard deluna)
	1951 crosely hot shot (722cc, ernie mendicki) 1955 porsche 550 spyder, the race winner (1500cc, bill perrone)
	1951 chrysler saratoga (5424cc, martin swig) 1952 aardvark (850cc, donald racine) gave #27 a tough battle
	1955 nichols (850cc, jean pierre molerus) 1955 mercedez-benz 300sl (3000cc, roger glenn)
group 1b: Pre 1939 Sports & Racing Cars this group rounded the track at the same time as group 1a and were obviously no match for the faster nimbler siblings, but they were a real treat to watch, especially #17 and #44, the oldest cars in the group) which featured a driver and a passenger, the passenger's job being throwing extra weight into the turns.
	#14 and #17 put on a fantastic show 1930 austin 7 special (750cc, greg johnson)
	1916 national ac (4967cc, brian blain and friend)
	1932 alfa-romeo monza (2636cc, peter giddings) 1936 riley tt special (1500cc, eckhard evers)
	1915 ford model t (2200cc, gary lucas) 1935 wolseley hornet (1600cc, daryl bucciarelli)
