i won't get into why we ended up in death valley on our way back from las vegas when we were supposed to be flying, but suffice it to say that we ended up in death valley... the valley is really below sea level; the sign on the left was at the top of a hill, we went down to about 200 feet below, and later climbed to 9000+ feet passing through the sierra nevadas. |

if you're wondering what's up with all the blue, my scanner is starting to flake out a little, tinting everything toward blue too much. i may correct this set sometime if i figure out what's wrong with the damn thing.

| we saw lots of interesting stuff along the way, lots of foreigners, a biker gang, a wiley coyote that begged us for some popcorn, displays of driving madness, hallucinations, and of course, several u.f.o.'s along the 395 highway. |
