these four images are from the marin headlands area.  there are many ruined military buildings that are the remnants of ww2 paranoia of a japanese naval attack on san francisco.  although all the big guns are obviously gone, the evidence of their existance is very interesting.  i'm not sure if the barn in the lower right is part of the original installation, but it stands right next to an old nike based sam site that still seems halfway operational.

on the right, a staircase in the park near golden gate bridge.  in the center, geneva towers in southern san francisco were demolished on may 16th.  i arrived there 2 minutes before the blast, got set up in record time, then promptly managed to ruin half the roll yielding only a small set of interesting pictures.  on the left is a shot of some sort of refinery northeast of oakland.  the photo was taken at 3am as b and i went on one of our weird night time tours of the area.  a guy came out and told me not to take any more pictures.  hey, is it so weird for someone to be out at 3am taking pictures of your refinery?  sheesh.  below is a picture of a construction site in alameda that's been abandoned.  the setting sun cast some interesting contrasts.
