troy corser lead the first race but was only given half the points because of the latter crashes. |

aaron slight, at the time
championship leader in points, didn't have a great day. by the end
of the circuit his lead fell to fogarty.
akira yanagawa's
day ended badly, he crashed in the corkscrew during race 1 and sustained
facial injuries. he did not race in wsb #2

and yanagawa collided, but he walked off and push started his bike.

the officials attempted to restart race 1, but slight and some others collided at the restart causing an 8 bike accident, a helicopter call, and the cancellation of the race that cost corser 1/2 his points. | |
