this is the house that my father grew up in, that my grandmother still lives in, and the only place in poland that still hasn't changed much from what i remember from my childhood.

my grandfather used to raise bees in the garden; perhaps the bee pictured is a descendant of one of his bees...

at the bottom, two jars contain plastecine figures that my brother and i made when we were 7 or 8 years old. my grandmother displays these proudly to this day.
