| climbing the dune turns out to be extremely difficult. the sand was deep and we'd slip back 2 steps for each 3 steps taken. i was shooting from down below while terry, anja, adella, and mark made their way to the top. you can just see the four about to make the final climb as a small dot in the center of the left photo below. | |

b accompanied me to the base of the dune, but turned back. she was carrying two folks after all. meanwhile the guys at the top made their way down. |

anja and mark climbed up the dune a second time, to keep me company. on the right, anja provides perspective to the tiny dots of terry and adella relaxing at the base. |
